i have avg antivirus free and i want to switch to avast antivirus free, but i have a virus in the vault called exploit.pdf and if i uninstall avg will it let the virus out or get rid of it for good of my computer. if it would let it free how would i get rid of it before i uninstall avg.

No it is safe, the virus vault is just saying what it has deleted.
Fair warning AVG is probably the best free AV
