Stay away from commercial products if you can help it, and you always can. I choose to use clamwin and I update daily. Numerous people live and die by Avast! I have no opinion other than these people are all computer techs as am I! In order to run fixes, you can download combofix and for spyware download spybot! All these are free, safe and constantly updated by some of the smartest internet security people in the world! Good luck!
