I installed AVG 2011 free version, I would like to uninstall it but the darn thing will not let me, I tried the avg removal tool but i cannot even download the stupid thing. I would like to completely wipe the software off the system but I do not know what else to do without having to spend a cent, i would love to know a way to do it without paying anything. Please can someone help me!!!!!
also i tried to do it using windows seven uninstaller but it didnt work

If it’s not allowing you to do it through normal windows mode. You’re going to have to do it in safe mode. That’s what I ended up having to do. It was a shame to AVG was a good program, but now I’m using microsofts program. It seems to work pretty good.
In safe mode, uninstall it first through the windows add/remove programs. After that restart the computer then you should be able to run to avg removal tool and then after that install your new protection.
